Another three takes in rapid succession (think god I’m not counting the deleted takes too). I’ve used the Dean (N,10) for the distorted guitar on the main section of Dark Moon as it has a meatier sound the the red Fender. I went straight in to the Marshall using the dirtiest switch settings it has (Rufus: OD2,20,8,4,6,5,6) and no other effects, and miked this up. Takes 3 and 4 were the whole main section, take 5 was a few attempts at the ending of it. There’s some editing ahead for me. The sustain on the Dean has almost certainly overlapped where the clean part would come back in, such are the problems with overdubbing.
